What do I write?

Beautiful things! I want to put trans characters in stories that are not centred around their transition, but the millions of other things we deal with in our lives. I want to put East Asian characters on the screen because British television (especially!) is severely lacking, and it’s time we see our experiences out there. I want to write about being mixed race and what it feels like to sit on the cusp of two cultures, but never quite fit into either properly. I want to write stories that take place in Manchester and the North, because there is so much beauty and joy here. I want to put my heart on the page and create characters that jump out at you. I want you to laugh, I want you to cry. I want to write stories that stick with you for a while.

And dammit, I want my own TV show.
